What is it?
Some internet providers block sites and apps with DPI (deep packet inspection). ByeDPI gets around it by changing how the first packets of a connection look. DPIMech for Android runs ByeDPI on your phone, only for the apps you pick, with the same tested strategies as the desktop app.
Not a VPN service. Android's VPN feature is only used to catch the chosen apps' traffic on the phone. Every connection still goes straight to the site: nothing passes through someone else's server, your IP address is not hidden, and sites blocked by IP address stay blocked.
- A three-step wizard: pick the sites, it tests your connection and turns the working setting on.
- Whole phone for the sites commonly blocked in your country, or only the apps you pick.
- Automatic strategy: on a new network it finds and remembers what works there.
- Ready-made packs: Discord, YouTube, Roblox, X, Instagram, Wattpad — the pack also ticks the app.
- Only the pack's sites get the bypass; everything else in the app is left alone.
- Strategies shared with the desktop app, updated without a new release, plus a community list.
- Encrypted DNS (DNS over HTTPS) for the bypassed apps, and an optional QUIC block so browsers and YouTube use TCP.
- Live traffic, average ping of your sites and DNS counts on the home screen and in the notification.
- Widgets (one per profile if you like), shortcuts that turn a profile on and open its app, Quick Settings tile.
- No root, no Google services, no ads, no analytics. English, Türkçe, Русский, فارسی, العربية.

Is it safe?
- All code is open. ByeDPI and hev-socks5-tunnel are built from source inside the APK; nothing executable is downloaded later.
- Strategy lists are plain text, and every option is checked against an allowlist before ByeDPI starts.
- The engine only listens on the phone itself (127.0.0.1).
- No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no crash reporters.
- Android allows one VPN at a time, so another VPN or a VPN-based ad blocker cannot run together with it.
